This flexibility alsocompensates for variation inlead and angle error allowingeach coil to carry its share of theload. No Thread life is dramaticallyincreased even after repeatedassembly and disassembly,because the Insert hardnessand surface finish practicallyeliminate erosion of thethread form due to friction. Corrosion normal environmentalconditions, Heli-Coil insertsminimize galvanic actionwithin the threaded assemblybecause of their superior cor-rosion resistance.
