See Figure 1for unit components. Fan-coil units are available as 2-pipe with orwithout electric heat (one hydronic circuit) or 4-pipe (two hydroniccircuits). Force Flo units feature 2-pipe hydronic coils, electric heatonly, or steam only. Also, units feature a variety of factory pipingpackages. See the Appendix on page 100 for more information onavailable factory-installed piping control options are available with the UniTrane fan-coil andForce Flo cabinet heater fan mode switch2.
3 Tracer , , terminal unit controller (TUC)All control options are available as unit or wall mounted . Units with aTracer , , or TUC also feature a split combina-tion: unit mounted fan mode switch with a wall mounted setpoint Tracer controllers ( , , and ) utilize binaryoutputs to operate 2-position control valves, supply fan/s, 2-positiondampers, and electric TUC utilizes binary outputs to control the fan and optionalauxiliary heat. In addition, it operates 2-position or 3 wire floatingpoint control valves and the fresh air supply and return openings vary with each cabinet style. Inaddition, a fresh air opening with either a manual or motorized airdamper is an available option.
