1 Directions to STC Airport Campus From Interstate 81 South Bound Take exit 116 off I-81 and follow 901 West. Immediately after you leave the exit ramp you will see a sign for the Schuylkill County Airport on your left. Make a left turn onto Airport Road and continue the Schuylkill County Airport Building. The Technology Centers Airport Campus office is located in the main build-ing. From Interstate 81 North Bound Take exit 116 off I-81 and follow 901 West. Immediately after you leave the exit ramp you will see a sign for the Schuylkill County Airport on your left. Make a left turn onto Airport Road and continue to the Schuylkill County Airport Building pictured above. From Route 61 Reading and South Follow Route 61 North to Cressona. Use the access ramp on the right after you pass a Texaco gas station to make a left turn at the first red light by the Cressona Mall. Go through the town of Cressona. You will see a Hess gas station on the right. Make a right turn onto Route 901 West.

2 Follow Route 901 West through Minersville, Primrose and Buck Run. When you pass the ramps for I-81 you will see a sign for the Schuylkill County Airport on your left. Now follow Directions given above in blue. From Route 61 Sunbury and North Follow Route 61 South. Turn right onto Route 54 East. Con-tinue on 54 East. Route 54 East becomes 901. Follow 901 East until you see the signs for I-81. Before you approach the ramps for I-81 you will see a sign for the Schuylkill County Airport on your right. Make a right turn onto Airport Road and continue to the Schuylkill County Airport Building pictured above in which the Technology Centers office is located. 6 Length of Program 20 Weeks Weekly Hours 40 Total Course Hours 800 Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm 1/2 Hour Lunch Enrollment Dates: The Schuylkill Technology Centers accept applications throughout the year Financial Aid: The Schuylkill Technology Centers recognize the ex-pense of a quality education and encourage students to apply for all available financial aid. The Financial Aid Office assists students in applying for federal grants, loans. And the Veterans Administration Program. Other agencies providing funding are Team PA Career Link and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. 8 New materials, technology, and markets will provide exciting opportunities and well-paid jobs for Heavy Equipment Operators. STC provides students with a number of job opportunities during the training period. Although there are jobs immediately available to students upon graduation, trucking companies vary somewhat with regards to hiring requirements. Therefore, job placement is contingent upon, but not limited to the following requirements: Must pass all required CDL Knowledge and Skills Tests Must pass all company required physical and drug tests Must possess the character and attitude necessary to meet industry standards Any other legal or company Requirements Phase II Heavy equipment Field Practicum 200 Hours Total Program Hours 400 Heavy Equipment Operator Program The Vehicle and Equipment operator Training Program is a combination of both the Commercial Drivers License and Heavy Equipment Programs. The first segment of the program will teach students how to safely operate late construction equipment such as backhoes, hydraulic excavators, track loaders/dozers vibrating rollers and more, The training will last for ten weeks at the Schuylkill County Airport just off of I-81 Exit 116 at Minersville.

9 Commercial Drivers License Class A The second segment of the program will also last for ten weeks and will be held at the Schuylkill County Airport in Minersville. Students obtain extensive training including pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, and all types of road driving. Students will be prepared for both the CDL knowledge (written and driving) tests leading to a Commercial Drivers License.
