Energy savingsAll Passivent iMEV systems use constantlyrunning low-power fans which reduceenergy bills and the carbon footprint ofthe building. Demand controlSystems automatically respond to the needfor VENTILATION , increasing effectivenessand energy efficiency. Complete solutionsEvery Passivent iMEV system provides acomplete VENTILATION solution which isindividually tailored to a particular projectby our expert design team.
2 FlexibleOur flexible range of systems is suitablefor a wide variety of projects, no matterthe type of usage. They can be installed insingle houses and apartments; multi-occupancy dwellings such as care homes, student accommodation and hotels;changing rooms and toilet blocks. CompliantAll our iMEV systems are compliant withBuilding Regulations Part F for Englandand Wales and Building Standards Section 3 for Scotland. Positive airflow directionThe design of the air circulation meansthat all parts of the property are properlyventilated. The positions of the inlets andextracts ensure that air always moves fromdry rooms to wet rooms, where it isextracted. DiscreetWith their compact size and quiet motorsall our fans can easily be placed within acupboard or roof space. Simple installationFull fitting instructions are supplied withevery system, with additional technicalsupport if required. Long lifeWe recommend fitting by one of ourtrained MasterCare installers. Systems are available with a 12 year designwarranty upon.
3 PASSIVENT iMEV SYSTEMS.. Need for ventilationEveryday activities such as cooking andbathing, and even breathing, can causeinternal humidity levels to rise. Withoutventilation this stale air has no way to beremoved, trapping potential pollutants andcausing a stuffy unpleasant atmosphere. How traditional MEV worksA typical traditional MEV system works bydrawing this moist stale air from wet roomssuch as kitchens and bathrooms, throughducts via a central fan and exhausting itthrough a roof-mounted happens at all times due to thecontinuously running fan. To ensure the moist stale air is replaced,through-wall and window vents allow freshair from outside to enter. These vents aretypically placed within habitable rooms suchas living rooms and bedrooms. This cycle of stale air out and fresh air inensures good indoor air quality and a freshclean environment. Importantly, it alsoremoves moisture which can otherwise leadto damp and of traditional MEV Traditional MEV systems rely on occupantsto recognise the need for increasedventilation and use a manual switch toincrease extraction when required.
4 There are a number of issues with this thatcan lead to over- or under- VENTILATION andincreased energy costs:12.. iMEV INTELLIGENT MECHANICAL EXTRACT VENTILATIONE nergy use ofventilation systems ina typical three-bedroom house (based on CIBSE data)- Users can forget to boost the systemwhich means moist stale air is not When the system is boosted, extraction is increased in all wet rooms, leading tounnecessary heat Fan speed can be increased for longerperiods than required, leading to higherenergy iMEVP assivent iMEV is INTELLIGENT , in that itremoves the need for any occupantinteraction, automatically detecting rises inhumidity and responding accordingly. The system only increases extraction whenrequired, so it uses much less energy as thecentral fan is not running at a higher speedunnecessarily. Heat loss is also reduced asiMEV relies on demand control (extractionwhen and where required); extraction is onlyincreased in the areas where humidity hasrisen. Alternatively, extraction control can bevia PIR activation based on occupancy levelsallowing automatic energy saving has many additional benefits including: Lower energy usage due to lower overallfan speeds.
5 Fit and forget solution, as rate ofventilation is not controlled by the user. This increases extraction inthe area(s) where required, whilstkeeping a sufficient level of ventilationin other rooms. At night time whenthere is low humidity and low demandthe fan speed reduces to the quietestminimum setting.

7 Quiet fan means less it worksThe system uses a low power constant-speedfan, discreetly installed in a roof space orcupboard. 8 Thefan speed remains constant, so at the sametime the extraction rate in other(unoccupied) areas decreases, maintainingthe overall system extraction rate. UsesPremises where individual spaces mayrequire different controlled extraction rates, such as large dwellings, care homes orstudent benefits Fully automatic control maintainseffective VENTILATION throughout abuilding. VENTILATION is tailored to the needs ofindividual rooms or spaces. Zonal control minimises heat loss fromareas where additional extraction is notrequired. Quiet fan that reduces speed at nighteliminates occupant it worksThe system uses constant pressureandhumidity-sensitive extracts which controlthe extraction rate in different areasaccording to need.

It can becommissioned as fixed speed or with amanual boost control that can be easilycommissioned during installation. For MEV systems, the controller options areeither a three-position switch or remoteradio frequency controller with threesettings: low, medium and boost, as well as atimer, meaning the occupant has full controlof the VENTILATION in the home.
