1 Interested in applying to become a paraprofessional or para-educator? Read on to learn about the application process! Keep reading for more information about how the process works and what is required in order to join our school-based City Schools staff! 1. Scan and save all of your eligibility documents. These documents must include the following: (none of these documents should exceed 3 MB) a. If you are Interested in a non-instructional paraprofessional position, you will need to provide: i. A copy of your high school diploma.

2 Ii. Cover letter indicating interest in City Schools and the position of interest iii. Professional resume outlining all relevant professional experience. b. If you are Interested in the para-educator position, you will need to produce the following documents: i. High school diploma and MD qualifying scores on the Parapro test OR ii. Official documentation of 48 college credits. Please note that although your application may be initially considered without these materials, you will not be allowed to begin interviewing with administrators in the school district until these documents are received by the Office of Human Capital.

3 It is strongly advised that you include all of these scanned documents as part of your application packet or gather these documents for preparation for the Office of Human Capital. 2. Investigate how to request required eligibility documentation that you may not have copies of at the time of application. As previously stated, all eligibility documents must be provided before an official offer can be accepted with City Schools.
