General information of Hong Kong Weather in June June in Hong Kong is usually characterized by rainy weather and persistently very hot weather. The average low and high temperatures are approximately 23 C (73 F) and 33 C (91 F).

In June, Hong Kong is possible to be affected by tropical cyclones. 7 4 ISQOLS2018 v1 Arrangement for Welcome Reception and Farewell Dinner The Welcome Reception will be held on 3/F of Innovation Tower (V Core, outside V322) after the Alex Michalos Named Lecture (Speaker: Prof. Takashi Inoguchi) at 18:45 on 14th June. Details of the Closing Dinner will be included in the Program Booklet and the conference website ( ). Green and healthy campus Smoking is strictly prohibited on campus. To support GreenLiving@PolyU, no plastic bottled water will be provided in events. We will provide a free reusable water bottle to each participant. There are over 60 drinking water stations on campus, which can be easily located through the University s Green Map: Hygiene arrangements are implemented to ensure safe and reliable water available for all.

When the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 (or above) or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal will be issued within the next 2 hours, special arrangements may be required based on the prevailing weather situation.
