Invitation to the 2018 Hinchinbrook Catch and Release tournament The Ingham Rod and Reel Club is proud to offer you an Invitation to fish our Hinchinbrook Catch and Release tournament in year the tournament will be held on the 25th & 26th May 2018. Registration and check-in is atthe Lucinda Point Hotel from midday Thursday 24th onwards, followed by a Welcome Dinner at entry fee remains the same this year at $500 per angler or $380 per angle if your are providing you own accommodation. 5 All fish must then be immediately : anglers can use any line Mono filament or Braid up to and including 15kg. Artificial lures or CARE: All effort will be made to Release fish in the shortest time possible, and in as good of acondition as possible. Gaffs are not to be used. Barbless hooks are : The Lucinda service jetty to Georges Point is the southern boundary, and the Cardwell Jettyto transit lane marker B 18 S 146 E to Macushla point is the northern boundary.(as per the map provided in the program) FISHING ZONES: The Herbert River beyond the Halifax Road Bridge and Mary Creek. (as per the mapprovided in the program) OF FISHING: Lure casting, fly fishing or trolling only. No land based fishing allowed. One lineper angler in use at any one time, whether trolling or LENGTH: The tournament will be governed by GFAA rules in the case of leader length.

6 For lurefishing, the length of the double/leader combination shall not exceed a) times the length of the rod in use, or b) the GFAA regulations for double and leader length. For fly casting, butt or taper section, 10kg classand shock tippets reflect the GFAA/QGFA SHEETS AND CAMERA MEMORY CARDS: Score sheets will remain the primary method ofrecording captures. Photographs are for the verification of the winning prize holders only. Anydiscrepancies between the score sheets and photographs will be referred to the judges. Tampering ordeliberate misuse of photographs or measuring boards is prohibited. The Judges will consider any submission and their decision RULES: In all cases, the adherence by each competitor to the regulations set down byvarious regulatory authorities is their own responsibility and shall take precedence over any tournament rules. These authorities include, but aren t limited to the following: GBRMPA, The Department ofNational Parks Recreation Sport and Racing, Queensland Transport, Maritime Safety Queensland and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and TEAM IS TWO (2) PERSONS: There is a maximum of 2 Persons per boat, unless rule 15 is tournament COMMITTEE reserves the right to place an observer, sponsor or mediarepresentative on board any vessel, for any length of time during the tournament COMMITTEE reserves the right to deny or relinquish any participant s Invitation toattend the tournament for any reason they see fit.
