1 Job Description Job Title: Good Inward Inspector Department: Quality Reports to: Quality Manager Salary: Dependant on experience SUMMARY Reporting to the Quality Manager the Goods Inward Inspector will be responsible for carrying out good inward inspection of supplied parts into Oxley . This role will also include the measurement of internally manufactured parts and verification externally received product to support the creation and verification of First Article Inspection Reports to AS 9102 requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To carry out Goods Inward inspection for all component parts entering the company ensuring compliance to design specification and contractual requirements.

2 Report progress regularly on the assigned tasks, highlighting where agreed target dates are not going to be met To interpret engineering drawings and models to enable inspector to be able to programme FARO arm to allow measurement and reports to be generated To identify and record any non-conformances to specification requirements. Liaise with design department to resolve such issues To generate internal First Article Inspection Reports to AS 9102 requirements To review all external First Article Inspection Reports to ensure they have been completed to the required standard and that they are fully compliant to the relevant specification requirements To produce and maintain accurate inspection records and look at reducing the companies inspection effort by following companies ship to stock process This job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties

Control defective items via segregation from good product Raise and maintain relevant non-conformance reports. Ensuring all measurement equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with the company s internal procedures. Adhere to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment in order to maintain a safe work environment QUALIFICATIONS 5 GCSE s or equivalent including English and Maths an advantage EXPERIENCE Experience of working in a Quality / Engineering environment Experience of reading and understanding detailed mechanical drawings essential Computer Literate with use of Microsoft Word.

4 Excel and use of MRP or ERP systems would be an advantage ADDITIONAL SKILLS Strong team work background Ability to follow instruction Good communication skills PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Conscientious and hardworking individual who has the ability to work effectively in a fast moving environment, whilst maintaining accuracy at all times WORK ENVIRONMENT Shop floor based environment
