1 DATE: JOB TITLE: Burn Table Operator DATE:_____ REPORTS TO: Shop Foreman DEPT: Office APPROVED BY: HR Manager SUPERVISES: 0 employees Grade Level: MANAGER S SIGNATURE: _____ _____ JOB SUMMARY Sets up and operates CNC Burn Table (Whitney, Kinetic or similar) machine to cut or perform other machining operations on steel in the manufacture of parts for heavy machinery. Determines operation sequence, selects and adjusts machine to perform proper cutting/burning of plate. Trains and inspects work of other shop personnel in the correct operation of CNC burn table processes. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Read prints and check for errors. Layout and burn/cut structural steel Identify and number material for fabrication, as well as material to be sent out for further machining.
2 May operate other computer numeric controlled machinery as needed to meet production. Welding may be required on occasion. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform other duties as assigned. Regardless of other duties, has a responsibility to follow HONG HUA AMERICA, LLC, production, safety, and quality procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Fork lift experience required. Good knowledge of and experience working with steel. Layout, drilling and light welding previous experience required. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & BOM s. Detail oriented, demonstrated high level of accuracy and to work safely. REQUIRED a) Education and Training High School education or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by management b) Technical Requirements Must pass required specialized training c) Experience Minimum 3 years experience as a CNC machine operator with burn table experience or other related CNC machine operator in a heavy industry, or similar demonstrated numerically controlled machine operation abilities.
