This individual will direct day to day operations within the policy and authority established by the Board of Directors relative to public relations, fund raising, government and community relationships, personnel management and fiscal responsibility. We seek an individual with compassion for the safe and humane treatment of animals as well as demonstrated success in team building, fiscal management, leadership and communications.

2 Candidates with relevant experience in animal shelter management will be highly considered. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Advocate strongly for the safe and humane treatment of animals. Oversee all aspects of animal care that ensure humane treatment of animals in accordance with state and local laws. Oversee the quality of programs and services to ensure they are carried out ethically and within guidelines set by accrediting agencies and funding agencies. Work effectively with all stakeholders to accomplish mission critical and strategic plan initiatives. Fiscally responsible for profit and loss. Operate within budget guidelines by efficient resource management relative to staffing, operating requirements, programs and services and capital expenditures for necessary facility and grounds maintenance and improvements.

3 Direct and oversee annual operating budget preparation and approval to Board of Directors. Oversee preparation and approval of audited financial statements and 990's. Proactively negotiate and manage all operational and funding contracts. Clearly communicate the vision, mission, programs and services of MCPAWS to all stakeholders. Professionally represent MCPAWS at all meetings and conferences. Review and approve all public communications including news and fundraising releases, grant applications, organization publications and documents. Direct, approve and oversee annual fundraising. Seek and cultivate community, donor and volunteer relationships.

4 MCPAWS is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization (208) 634-DOGS Maintain a high performance culture of service; administer established personnel policies;. recruit, interview, hire, evaluate performance and staff as appropriate. Provide all required management reports to Board of Directors. Continually observe conditions within the organization and recommend changes/improvements to the Board of Directors to ensure efficient use of resources and sustainability of operations. Operate (and manage staff in operating) modern office equipment including computer equipment, and software programs: database/spreadsheet, word processing, online data entry programs, website content management, and social media applications.
