2 O Are you excited by the process of translating knowledge into action? If this describes your attitude, we think you might enjoy being part of the NCCDH s ADVISORY BOARD and be an asset to the NCCDH . About us The NCCDH is one of six National Collaborating Centres for Public Health in Canada. Our Centre helps public health organizations and practitioners better advance the opportunities that all Canadians have for good health and well-being. We translate evidence, write resources, host events, partner with others, provide consultation, support networks and broker relationships. Using our resources, public health makes more informed changes to policies, practices, structures and programs to improve social conditions that influence health and the equitable distribution of resources for health.

3 About the BOARD Our ADVISORY BOARD provides guidance to the NCCDH s scientific director, with each member serving a three-year term. In return, BOARD members deepen their networks with other strategic change-makers, increase their knowledge of equity-focused public health and experience the satisfaction of contributing to important work on the social determinants of health. The BOARD meets twice yearly (once in person, once by teleconference). Meetings and related documents are delivered in English. The NCCDH covers members costs relating to meeting attendance. 2400 Mount Saint Bernard College, Camden Hall, 2nd Floor, St. Francis Xavier University PO Box 5000, Antigonish, NS B2G 2W5 Tel: | Fax: | E-mail: | Web: Selection criteria The NCCDH is seeking individuals with a range of training and varied discipline and programmatic backgrounds who bring a pan-Canadian perspective and demonstrate leadership skills.
