We just finished MSA Summer session and are winding down on the parade season. We had a great turnout for the Osman picnic and a big thanks to all those who worked hard to make it a success. We also had a lot of fun and a great turnout at the Saint Paul Park parade with a fantastic Oasis at the American Legion following the parade. A big thanks to Rich & Sharon Purcell who hosted a Membership planning meeting at their home with several members of the Divan and Membership Chairman and have some great plans laid out for moving forward.

I would like to Congratulate Ian Gardiner for receiving his Master Mason Degree on August 18th. Welcome to the greatest fraternity in the world, Ian, we are all proud of you for taking this great step. I hope to see you all at the Stated Meeting on September 9th at the Spur. We will be giving out some awards for years of membership to Osman and have plenty of business to take care of. We are getting ready for the Potentate s Ball on September 13th at the Osman Event Center and look forward to seeing you all there.

We have a great band, The Senders coming to entertain us. They are a band from Southern Iowa and have been together over 50 years (they formed in their early teens). The Potentate s trip will follow just a few days later leaving on Sept. 18th for Rapid City / Deadwood area for a few days of fun and adventure. Finally, our last temple parade of the year will be in in River Falls on October 4th. I would also like to thank the Osman Cycle Corp for stepping up to help out the Dragon Patrol and keep Chang on the street for a parade.

Not only were there a good number at the parade, but many of you came out to support Newport Lodge for their pancake breakfast as well. This is always appreciated, by not only your fellow Nobles, but by your Masonic brethren as great time was had by all that attended MSA in Sioux Falls, SD.

El Riad did a great deal of work preparing for this great weekend of fun and fellowship. Start making your plans now for MSA 2015 in Fargo, Last Parade of the Season will, as usual, be in River Falls on October 4th. We have not received any information from Zor yet as to parade details. I have to say to please watch your Parade blast for additional information as to line up times. It is normally a fairly early day, with the Oasis starting around 8 and step off about 10, but as I said, watch your parade blast for more are quickly closing in on the end of another wonderful parade season.

Time flies when you are marching so that children may with Pride in your parades my fellow Nobles. Always remember to keep a blue lodge petition as well as a Shrine petition in your Fez case, because you just never know who your actions may Yours,Rique BeslinChief Of Staff, Osman BeslinAustin Area Shrine Club & Oriental BandAugust found the band participating in parades at Lanesboro (Aug. 3), Kenyon (Aug. 16), Goodview (Aug. 17), and St. Charles (Aug. 24). Also, on September 7th we will participate in the parade at s been a pretty good year with seven to 14 members being present for our parades.

As long as we have a good balance between the percussion instruments and the musettes, we can do a pretty good job. We could use a few new members who are willing to learn and play the addition to parades, several of our members participated in the pancake breakfast on Saturday, August 2nd, at the Masonic Lodge in Austin. Sam Hagan, a thirteen year old member of a local Boy Scout Troop, had quite a project for his Eagle Scout rank. Fidelity Lodge members donated the proceeds to his decided to raise money to have a Fallen Soldier Memorial constructed in honor of his grandfather and veterans.
