In some cases an over-laminating film may also be applied over the facestock. L a y e r 1. 8 After passing through the dryer, the lm or paper is laminated over the adhesive layer, and the labelstock is wound into a master-roll. It is important to select a facestock that meets the specifications imposed by the intended use and design of the labelstock - these may include color, appearance, touch, heat resistance, and water resistance.
