The fusion of conventional wood combustion and catalytic tech-nology have given us the ultra-green, hybrid - fyre . Primary combus-tion for this unit occurs in the firebox as secondary tubes re-burn the gases before they leave the firebox. Those same gases are then passed through the catalytic assist reducing emissions dramatically. Because of this hybrid technology, virtually no smoke exits the appliance.

The Insert runs off of wood, the most inexpensive fuel as well as a renewable resource. 3 No longer is the mess of starting a fire with matches and newspapers a concern as it has been eliminated entirely by this breakthrough new igniter system. Fireplace safety has increased, as well as there is no longer a need to leave doors ajar to promote the fire start up. The optional GreenStart system works much like a blacksmith bellows. 5 The combination of the catalytic combustor and air tubes is what creates this unique and ultra efficient hybrid - fyre technology.(1) The super efficient combustion air is drawn into the preheated chamber converting cold, incoming air into warm combustion air. (2) This air is then routed through the airwash channels and into the airwash which primarily keeps the glass very clean, increasing main-tenance and convenience. (3) The air control, regulates incoming air controlling the burn rate and is then routed into the firebox by the primary combustion air (which helps to start the fire).

6 (4) The secondary air manifold continues to route the air into the secondary tubes which takes the air to the secondary combustion zone. (5) In this area, any unburned particles are re-ignited. (6) The Baffle, slows down the gases from being expelled without one last cleansweep from the catalytic combustor (7) which reignites all volatile gases. No particle is left behind. This process dramatically reduces emissions and carbon monoxide output making the Large Flush Wood Insert a very green fireplace. (8) Room air is drawn through the back convection chamber then circulated through the convection channel where it is heated.

7 (9) This hot air is then expelled from the top convection chamber through a Large , cast-iron, heat sink increasing the temperature of the room.(10) Additionally, a twin 90 cfm fans pushes convection air through stove greatly improving heat transfer and circulation into the room. (11) A bypass damper is also featured on the Large Flush Wood Insert , allowing for easy, smoke-free start ups. The Insert comes standard with a 6 flue with internal attachment (12) (for coinvent installation) as well as the Travis Industries exclu-sive, GreenStart igniter, (13) making the start up process as easy as the push of a button.
