You will begin your employment with AWP with attendance at a Trust induction day, followed by a number of mandatory and statutory training events according to your role (see the training matrix for more details). You will then work through the induction checklist with your manager to make sure you have a chance to talk about all that you need to know to help you to feel confident in your new role as quickly as possible.

4 Please let us know when you've completed the checklist. How do I know what training I need to do? The training Matrix + training Pathways We all have a responsibility to make sure we are providing safe, as well as high quality services. To find out which courses are essential for you in your role, please look at the most recent training matrix, which is available on Ourspace. The training matrix also shows how frequently refreshers are required. Please make sure you stay up to date with your mandatory and statutory training .

5 We will do our best to remind you of courses you need to do, and reports of training are made available to managers and directors on a regular basis. It is your responsibility to undertake required training . learning & development training prospectus 2012/13. Once you have completed mandatory and statutory training you will want to focus on developing the skills and knowledge you need to enable you do your job as well as possible. We are developing a range of training pathways, specific to role, outlining key courses that we recommend.
