RULES & REGULATIONS. Vicious dogs are not eligible and must not be brought to the Show Exhibitors are held responsible for any damage done by their dogs during the exhibition. 1 The Show will open at daily. The gates to Harewood will not be open before am. 2 Dogs will be received at any time but it is the exhibitor's responsibility to ensure that exhibits are available for judging when required. 3 Judging will commence unless otherwise notified or published in Our Dogs .The start of judging will not be delayed except in very exceptional circumstances.

5 4 a Exhibits may be removed from the show after their judging has been completed. b Exhibits may not be removed any earlier unless by written order of the Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Practitioner or of the Show Management and then only in very exceptional and unforeseen circumstances which must be reported to the Kennel Club. c The show will close half an hour after all judging has been completed by which time dogs must be removed. 5 Entry fee for each exhibit is ( ) for the first entry and for each subsequent entry with the same exhibit. Where no CC's are on offer the entry fee for each exhibit is (inc. VAT) for the first entry and for each subsequent entry with the same exhibit. Stakes Classes: as a first entry; as a subsequent entry.

6 The entry fee for a dog entered Not for Competition is (inc. VAT). Dogs may be entered Not For Competition on any day of the show (and a bench will be provided) for per day. There is NO PROVISION. FOR UNENTERED DOGS at this Show. Entry fees will not be refunded once an entry has been made. Entries may be made online at 6 No Prize Money will be awarded other than that detailed in Stakes Classes. 7 The Committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. 8 Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the Show are not eligible for exhibition, ie born on or after 27th Jan 2018. 9 The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden. 10 Best Puppy in Show Where a Best Puppy in Show competition is scheduled the Best Puppy in Show is a puppy which has competed and has been declared Best Puppy in Breed, Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified Puppy or Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register Puppy.

7 A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show. Where the Best of Breed, Best in Group or Best in Show is a puppy it should automatically be awarded Best Puppy in Breed, Best in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively. Similarly, if the Reserve Best of Breed, Reserve Best of Group or Reserve Best in Show is a puppy which has only been beaten by an adult dog it should also automatically be Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show respectively. Consequently, selection of Best Puppy in Breed, Best in Group and Best Puppy in Show must follow the selection of Best of Breed and Best in Show respectively. (a) Shows Judged on the Group System (Definition; Shows judged on Group System - Refer to Regulation 27B.)

8 (1) Best Puppy in Breed A Best Puppy must be declared in each breed from puppies entered in the breed classes. A Best Puppy must be declared from the Any Variety Not Separately classified class(es). A Best Puppy must be declared from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register class(es). (2) Best Puppy in Group Best Puppy in Group and subsequent Puppy Group placings must be selected from:- (a) Those puppies declared Best Puppy in Breed (b) The puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each group or on each day (c) The puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register classes in each group or on each day. (3) Best Puppy in Show Best Puppy in Show must be selected from the Best Puppy in Group winners.

9 (b) Shows Not Judged on the Group System Best Puppy in Show Best Puppy in Show and subsequent placings must be selected from those puppies declared Best Puppy in Breed, the puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each Group or on each day and the puppy declared Best Puppy from the Any Variety Imported Breed Register classes in each Group or on each day. 11 Best in Show The dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and has been declared Best of Breed, Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified or Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register. (a) Shows Judged on the Group System (1) Best of Breed Where a breed is separately classified a Best of Breed may be declared but only from those dogs which have received a first prize in a breed class at the show.

10 Where separate classes are provided for each sex of a breed a Best of each Sex must be declared. NOTE:The Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/ Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register award relevant to a Category 3 Breed will not be confirmed until the dog has passed an examination by the General and Group Championship Show Veterinary Surgeon. (2) Best of Group Best of Group and subsequent Group placings must be selected from:- (a) The Best of Breed winners in each group 3. (b) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Not Separately Classified classes in each Group or on each day. (c) The dog declared Best from Any Variety Imported Breed Register class or classes in each Group or on each day. NOTE: The dog declared Best of Breed/Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified/ Best Any Variety Imported Breed Register from a breed designated by the Kennel Club as a Category 3 Breed is not eligible to compete in the Group competition unless it has passed an examination by the Show's Veterinary Surgeon.
