See previous page for a DVLA list of Suppression Reasons why a driver record may be returned with a DQ3 Status in your system account (Immediate Action Area). Following notification of the above, LICENCE CHECK follow a manual process route to obtain the driver record and the result will generally be available in your system within 10-14 working days.
For most customers this will be a very small number of cases, however, it will require your attention to prevent reoccurrence of the same issue and hopefully eradicate as many DQ3 status records where possible. Removal of any STOP SET MARKERS on the driver record should prevent future DQ3 manual submissions being required, and will further save additional credits being charged for this manual process. However, if you wish to know whether your driver is entitled to drive sooner than above, you will be required to follow the process as detailed below; Step 1 Employee (not employer) 1) Request the driver to attend a brief meeting with you to call the DVLA - Tel: 0300 790 6801 (Monday Friday between the hours of 8am 4pm).
Driver must be present. 2) The driver should firstly, identify themselves to the DVLA. 3) The driver should ASK why the DVLA have a STOP SET MARKER on their driver record, and ask for it to be removed. If the STOP SET MARKER can be removed this will prevent future requests following the same procedure 4) The driver should explain to the DVLA that LICENCECHECK (EDECS DVLA Customer) has informed them of this LICENCE suppression and has been prevented from accessing the driver record electronically. 5) If the DVLA will not remove the STOP SET MARKER for some other reason, every future CHECK for this LICENCE will follow this same pattern of events.
6) When this part has been concluded, request the driver to provide VERBAL consent for you (the employer) to speak with the DVLA operator, then follow Step 2 Registered Office: LICENCE CHECK LTD | The Renewal Trust Centre | 3 Hawksworth Street | Nottingham | NG3 2EG Sales: 0845 226 9686 | Customer Support 0845 190 1710 | Fax: 0845 226 9687 Client Portal: | Company No. 06725900 | Data Protection Z1734781 3 Step 2 - Employer (not employee) 7) Establish with the DVLA operator immediately if the driver has FULL Entitlement to drive 8) Request confirmation of any Endorsements , Convictions , Penalty Points , and then CHECK if they have the correct Category Entitlements they need to drive your vehicles on company business.
Step 3 - Employer (not employee) 9) If it is not possible for the LICENCE holder to be present at this time, you should request the driver to follow the same process as in Step 1 and leave permission with the DVLA to allow you and/or LICENCECHECK to call the DVLA at a later time 10) The contact number for this process is 09061 393837 11) This request is only valid for 5 working days 12) You will be required by the DVLA to identify the LICENCE holder by the LICENCE details you hold and provide your company name. 13) Follow Step 2 If you have any other questions please call LICECNE CHECK support on 0845 190 1710 for further assistance.
