Innovations need to be tested and applied quickly due to the hard competition. This leads virtual and laboratory testing become more important. Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) testing plays crucial role in this area.

3 To control all equipment of a test system, a general purpose testing software is developed. A user friendly interface configurable to control almost any sensor and actuator hardware on the market. In other words, OTAM Testing and Control Software is a multipurpose, user friendly, flexible, customizable universal testing software. OTAM Testing and Control Software Overview Communication protocols, connection orders, channels, control structures, setting forms are defined in-house implemented driver SW modules. Menu items can be used once drivers are installed. Implementations are done through user channels. Channels are defined in the driver software. Analog channels are used for numeric value transfer. Digital channels can receive/return true or false states. Virtual output channels are highly useful to stream out data from a virtual data source. Virtual Input channels are used to collect data from several files consist of any type of information. Calibration form. For sensor type hardware, after channel creation: Calibration specifications should be filled out for proper measurement. To do this, OTAM Testing & Control Software provides a calibration form that is accessed thru settings tab.
6 Unlimited calibration points can be defined. This lets user work with non-linear sensors as well. Once configuration of the user form is done, run mode is switched to control hardware and store gathered data. The testing and control software stores measured data, channel settings, and other software related information in an SQL database. Any user configuration can be saved and called back. Two different of message types are displayed in the log window which appears as soon as the software is started. The log window lets user watch the status of connection, errors and alerts in detail.
