Transcription of Lost/Stolen South African Passport
1 Lost/Stolen South African Passport If your Passport is stolen / lost /damaged while travelling abroad, report the loss/theft immediately to the local police station. Take a copy of the police report to the nearest South African Embassy where you can apply for a Temporary Passport . Before a Passport can be issued, you must: 1. Complete an application form BI-73 (application for South African Passport ) and BI-335E (declaration regarding the loss/damaging/theft of a Passport or travel document). 2. Be finger-printed 3. Produce written evidence of your South African citizenship( a birth certificate, Identity document, certified copy of Passport , if able). 4. Provide a copy of the police report (The translation must be in English version).
2 5. Present two photographs (size 35x 45mm) and 6. Pay the required fee (580 baht). 7. It takes 5 working days for processing. After you collect Temporary Passport from the Embassy, you must 1. Contact the Thai immigration to get new stamp before you departure. 2. Provide original police report, Temporary Passport and a letter from SA. Embassy.
