1 Lubricants Report product data Sheet from shell Lubricants PDS# ALBIDA* EP MULTI-PURPOSE LITHIUM COMPLEX GREASE Updated Technology (1) product LINE Albida EP grease is a premium multi-purpose Lithium Complex grease specially formulated for heavy duty applications where a superior grease with outstanding mechanical stability and a wide operating temperature range is required. It is available in EP-1 and EP-2. Albida EP grease is able to achieve superior high temperature performance with a dropping point of over 260 C, allowing operation up to 160 C. APPLICATIONS Albida EP grease is especially suited for use in mining & smelting operations, the steel industry, pulp & paper mills and cement plants. It is also recommended for any industrial applications where heavy-duty loads & wide temperature ranges are encountered.
2 Albida EP-1 and EP-2 greases also meet the NLGI GC-LB wheel bearing and chassis lubricant requirements, thus satisfying the needs of automotive and heavy-duty transportation equipment. Albida EP-1 can be used with confidence as the one grease for virtually every application on a Tractor Trailer all year long! Please Note: Albida EP-2 is now also available as part of the Tactic Single Point lubricator offering. PERFORMANCE BENEFITS Albida EP grease has the following properties: Outstanding Mechanical Stability - It resists hardening or softening in service delivering long grease life and dependable component protection.
3 Superior High Temperature Performance It s estimated maximum operating temperature of 160 C for the EP-2 grade is significantly higher than conventional soap greases. Excellent Load Carrying Ability - contains EP additive to provide an extra measure of protection under severe boundary lubrication conditions. Excellent Resistance to Water Washout and Rust Protection - In applications where water contamination or humidity becomes a problem. Compatibility - Is compatible with most other grease technologies. Easily Recognized - Is dyed red for ease of identification.
