1 - 1 - MAJOR CHRISTIAN DOCTRINESThe following is a list of many of the MAJOR DOCTRINES of the CHRISTIAN faith. These DOCTRINES are accepted byall denominations that are considered only GOSPEL (GOOD NEWS) OF JESUS CHRIST1 Corinthians 15:1-8,11 [1] Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the GOSPEL I preached to you, which youreceived and on which you have taken your stand. [2] By this GOSPEL you are saved, if you hold firmly to theword I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. [3] For what I received I passed on to you as offirst importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, [4] that he was buried, that he wasraised on the third day according to the Scriptures, [5] and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.

2 [6] After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are stillliving, though some have fallen asleep. [7] Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, [8] and last ofall he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. [11] Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what wepreach, and this is what you 1:6-9 [6] I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace ofChrist and are turning to a different GOSPEL -- [7] which is really no GOSPEL at all. Evidently some people arethrowing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the GOSPEL of Christ.

3 [8] But even if we or an angelfrom heaven should preach a GOSPEL other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned![9] As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a GOSPEL other than what youaccepted, let him be eternally condemned!There is only one 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is 44:6-8 [6] "This is what the LORD says-- Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the firstand I am the last; apart from me there is no God. [7] Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let himdeclare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet tocome-- yes, let him foretell what will come.

4 [8] Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this andforetell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I knownot one."Mark 12:28-30, 32 [28] One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus hadgiven them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"[29] "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: `Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord isone. [30] Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and withall your strength.

5 ' [32] "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one andthere is no other but him."This God is a triune God -- one God consisting of three distinct persons: 1. The Father 2. Jesus 3. The Holy SpiritThis is the concept of the Trinity. It is not expressly stated in the Bible but is implied by the fact that Jesus andthe Holy Spirit are spoken of in combination with the Father. The three persons of the Trinity are also referredto collectively as the Godhead. Don't bother trying to understand how three "persons" can be one. The term"persons" is used because human language does not have a more accurate 2 -Matthew 28:19-20 [19] Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of theFather and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] and teaching them to obey everything I have commandedyou.

6 And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the 1:1-2 [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was [face-to-face] with God, and the Word wasGod. [2] He was with God in the 3:7-9 [7] So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, [8] do not harden your hearts asyou did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, [9] where your fathers tested and tried me andfor forty years saw what I did."Acts 5:3-4 [3] Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to theHoly Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?

7 [4] Didn't it belong to youbefore it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? What made you think of doingsuch a thing? You have not lied to men but to God."Each person of the Godhead is fully God, yet there is only one 28:19-20 [19] Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of theFather and of the Son and of the Holy doctrine is implied by the overall way in which the Bible portrays the activities and interrelationship ofthe three persons of the Godhead. It is never expressly is sovereign. He is ruler over 12:28 Therefore say to them, "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will bedelayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.

8 "Revelation 17:14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lordof lords and King of kings--and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful men have sinned against God, thereby pushing themselves away from 3:22b-23 [22b] .. There is no difference, [23] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GodRomans 3:10-12 [10] As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; [11] there is no one whounderstands, no one who seeks God. [12] All have turned away, they have together become worthless; thereis no one who does good, not even one.

9 "Isaiah 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; weall shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us separates us from 59:2 Your sins have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face HATES 6:5-7 [5] The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that everyinclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. [6] The LORD was grieved that he had mademan on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. [7] So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have- 3 -created, from the face of the earth -- men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds ofthe air -- for I am grieved that I have made them.

10 "Psalms 5:4-6 [4] You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell. [5] Thearrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong. [6] You destroy those who tell lies;bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD 12:28-29 [28] Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful,and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, [29] for our "God is a consuming fire."Jesus is literally the Son of 1:1-4 [1] Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the GOSPEL of God --[2] the GOSPEL he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures [3] regarding his Son, whoas to his human nature was a descendant of David, [4] and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared withpower to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our became a human -- fully human, with a flesh-and-blood 1.
