This Manual , supplemented by Quality, Purchasing and Engineering Requirements , describes our expectations of you to be our partner in success, as summarized below: Commitment HET expects our suppliers to be committed to comply with our Supplier Quality Requirements .

7 This commitment begins with strong management dedication to zero defects, problem prevention, and continuous improvement. Systems HET expects our suppliers to have a prevention-based quality management system in place with the necessary infrastructure to measure quality performance. Resources HETs expects our suppliers to provide the resources necessary to fully understand and support all of our quality Requirements . Capabilities HET expects our suppliers to have sufficient manufacturing and technical capabilities to assure supplied components and/or services meet contractual, engineering and quality Requirements . The supplier should understand basic statistical concepts and be able to apply them when needed.

8 Responsiveness HET expects our suppliers to be responsive to part qualification Requirements as well as all other quality Requirements . We expect timely response to non-conformance situations and require that our suppliers be champions of problem resolution in such situations to prevent re-occurrence.
