3 To be eligible for 1301, student must also be TSI Complete in Reading **ABE 3-4 have been mainstreamed into DE. ABE 3 will continue to be mainstreamed. Student must place into Developmental Education for both Reading & Writing to be eligible for a developmental course. If a student places into CE in one area, he/she must complete the CE Course before enrolling in DE. ** Student must also meet placement requirements in Reading to be eligible for 0309 Developmental Education Exemptions Students meeting the following requirements are exempt from TSI, and should be allowed to enroll in entry-level freshman courses: (Title 19, Part 1, Chapter 4, SubChapter C, Rule ) 1. 4 A student who graduated with an associate or baccalaureate degree from an institution of higher education. 3. A student who transfers from a private or independent institution of higher education or an accredited out-of -state institution of higher education and who has satisfactorily completed college-level coursework as determined by LSC. 4. A student who has previously attended any institution and has been determined to have met readiness standards by that institution. 5. A student who is enrolled in a level-one certificate program (42 or fewer credit hours) 6. A student who is serving on active duty as a member of the armed forces of the United States, the Texas National Guard, or as a member of a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States and has been serving for at least three years preceding enrollment.
5 7. A student who on or after August 1, 1990, was honorably discharged, retired, or released from active duty as a member of the armed forces of the United States or the Texas national Guard or service as a member of a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States.
