This achievement comes at a time when healthcare systems face mounting economic pressures, leaving millions unable to benefit from modern medical technologies. As a global healthcare leader, MEDTRONIC is an integral part of the solution to addressing the industry s biggest challenges.

5 By extending our existing therapies into emerging markets, we are increasing access for more people and contributing to revenue growth. In FY17, revenue in emerging markets grew in the double-digit range1. Our total annual revenue increased approximately 5 percent1 globally as we continued our focus on achieving our is critical to our business PERFORMANCE , helping us mitigate risk, enhance quality, increase efficiency, and drive innovation.
