2 EspeciaUy the PHS! two years in seLting up the dental and hygiene programs in Baton Rouge and then bringing them back Lo New Orleans. He has done a great service for dental and denial hygiene education for the state of Louisiana. I would al 0 like to congratulate Dr. White Grave for being elected to the position of third vice PRESIDENT of the American Association of Dental Examiners. He is a previous two-term state board member and he will represent the South with the dedication and elfle 'ervice ju t as he did as a member of the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry. A national movement for continuing competency for the practicing denti t is growing. This would be a very complex and fmaneia! strain to tate boards as well as to denLi ts and hygienists. [feelthaL continuing education with examination after the course presentation is a more viable method of keeping abrea L. After all, we are aU cornntitted LO lifetime training. Plea e stay attentive to this i ue with your local LOA component.]
