3 During this period a total of S$650M of new building contracts were signed by FELS. 1990 - April 94 Assistant General manager (Operations) in charge of all operations, yard planning and development, safety security and production works in the 2 FELS yards involving a total of 130 staff, 850 workers and some 1800 subcontractors. May 94 Apr 02 Promoted to General manager (Operations). In addition to earlier functions, also responsible for Purchasing, Sales & Contracting of rig repair and conversion projects, and newly set up Petrochemical Plant and Process Division. From Oct 97, as General manager , he oversaw the smooth running of all the departments in the company with a workforce of about 2350.
