1 MiFi Firmware Update Process (2/20/12) Firmware Update version is available for download over-the-air and addresses the following items: CRITICAL FIX: Memory optimization that cleans up unused but allocated memory over time Over-the-air software upgrade interruption management: If 4G signal degrades and device switches to 3G during an upgrade, over-the-air Update will pause and the device will ask the user to click resume Web page redirection: the next time an over-the-air Update is available, when the browser is launched it will be rerouted to a webpage informing that an Update is available allowing to opt-in or opt-out Added data usage widget on the webpage user interface to view data usage Added DLNA support to allow media sharing across any DLNA compliant device Ability to disable SD card for Enterprise customers Support PPTP VPN protocol In order to receive the software Update over the air, follow the below instructions: 1. Connect your computer to the MiFi over WiFi 2.

2 Open a browser window and go to the Web address 3. Once on the MiFi homepage, click Login located in the upper right-hand corner NOTE: there may be a message stating a software Update is available on the homepage. Once logged in, click this link to perform the software Update 4. If the software Update available message is not present, after logging in click on "MiFi Administration" located next to the login link 5. Once in the Administration section, click the "System" tab and go to "Software Update . From here, click on Download & Install under Network Update . If it does not state that an Update is available, click the Check Now button, then click Download & Install to Update the MiFi
