After playing the top two teams in the Eastern Conference in back-to-back-games, the BUCKS will then return to Fiserv Forum to host the Phoenix Suns, the top team in the NBA, on Sunday. Under Mike Budenholzer (since 2018), the BUCKS have won 11 of their 12 games against the Bulls, and overall have won 13 of the last 14 against their Central Division rivals dating back to the 2017-18 season. This includes a 94-90 win earlier this season at Fiserv Forum on Jan. 21 in the two teams lone matchup of the 2021-22 season thus far. Wednesday s win over the Heat was Budenholzer s 200th as head coach of the BUCKS , becoming only the fourth coach in franchise history to reach 200 wins. He needed just 290 games to reach his 200th win, which is 20 games quicker than any of the previous three BUCKS coaches who reached 200 wins with the franchise (previous quickest: Larry Costello, 310 games).

3 For the second consecutive game, Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 25+ points, 15+ rebounds and 5+ assists as he scored 28 points with 17 rebounds and five assists in Wednesday s win over Miami. This was his ninth game of the season with 25/15/5, which ranks second in the NBA, and is the first time this season he s posted 25/15/5 in back-to-back games. Jrue Holiday, who hit the game-winning layup with seconds left to give the BUCKS the win over the Heat, finished the game with 25 points, 11 assists and six rebounds for his third 25/10 game of the season. Holiday s shot capped a 21-6 MILWAUKEE run to end the game after it trailed by 14 with 7:12 to play.

8 After the BUCKS fought back after being down 113-99, it was a Khris Middleton three with seconds remaining that pulled the BUCKS to within one at 119-118. On the following Heat possession, a Giannis Antetokounmpo steal forced a jump ball with seconds left in the game. Antetokounmpo then won the tip over Miami s Jimmy Butler, leading the way for Holiday who drove down the left side of the lane and converted over the outstretched arms of the Heat defense. Tyler Herro s last second-heave then missed, giving the BUCKS the victory. Antetokounmpo finished the game with 28 points and 17 rebounds while Holiday ended up with 25 points and 11 assists. Middleton also chipped in 26 points. The Heat were led by Herro who scored 30 points. After the first quarter ended in a 32-32 tie, the BUCKS went on a 30-9 run to open the second quarter and take a 62-41 lead with 4:12 remaining in the half. MILWAUKEE scored a season-high 44 points in the second frame and led by double digits for the rest of the game. MILWAUKEE then led by as many as 35 points in the fourth quarter before going on to win by 24 while scoring 130 points for the seventh time this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the BUCKS with 26 points and 16 rebounds, while Bobby Portis Jr. scored 20 points with 10 rebounds. Their 26 rebounds were part of MILWAUKEE s season-high 62 boards it hauled in. The Hornets were led by LaMelo Ball who scored 24 points.

The BUCKS earned and maintained a lead for much of the first half, leading 32-25 after the first quarter and then 59-53 at halftime. In the third quarter, however, Brooklyn put up 43 points and took a 96-93 lead into the final quarter of play. It was then a back-and-forth fourth quarter with neither team holding more than a seven-point advantage, including over the final four minutes of action when no team led by more than three. Ultimately, it was the Nets who were able to take a slight lead and force the BUCKS to foul in the final minute.
