3 Theseproducts provide an effective solution to many OEM anduser applications. Hub City GEARMOTORS are designed formounting at any angle, however, mounting with the motorbelow the reducer should be avoided to prevent leakage oflubricant into the motor should the motor shaft seal SPECIFICATIONSP arallel Shaft gearboxs have rugged aluminum die casthousings for maximum gear and bearing support. Precisionmachined gearing is hardened for maximum load gearing designed and rated to AGMA standards and towithstand momentary shock overload of 200%. Outputbearings are oversized for greater overhung load capacityand longer life. High-carbon alloy output shaft providesmaximum strength and rigidity. All needle bearing journalsare precision-ground after hear treating, to providemaximum finish and fit. Heavy-duty industrial oil seals helpkeep lubricant in and dirt out.

4 Gears and bearings arepermanently lubricated with heavy-duty gear worm-type right-angle gearing features a hardened,steel worm with bronze worm wheel for long life and quietoperation. Precision machined aluminum housings areused. Gearbox has all ball bearings. The housing is sealedand lubrication is permanent with an oil bath. The outputshaft is field interchangeable from left hand style to righthand style by optimum seal life, these right angle GEARMOTORS have alubrication breather positioned for horizontal mounting. Forother mountings, the breather-plugmust be reoriented by using a 90-1/8 NPT taper pipe elbow (see drawing).However, the motor portion of thegearmotor should never be mountedbelow the motor s stall torque could exceed the recommendedfull load torques. If stalling does occur, gearhead damagemay result, especially in the ratios of 60:1 and , provisions to limit the torque are torque values listed are the recommended full loadtorque values for reasonable gear life.

5 This issue is evenmore critical for low voltage motors, where typically nocontroller is used since the motor is connected directly tothe battery. Therefore, some type of current limit or fusingshould be MOTORSS ingle phase GEARMOTORS , totally enclosed for continuousduty, general purpose applications. Permanent splitcapacitor designs are rated for 115/230 VAC, 60/50 Hertzinput, and have starting torques equal to the GEARMOTORST otally enclosed, permanent magnet DC GEARMOTORS ,performance matched for continuous duty service over a60:1 speed range.
