4 Poorly draining soils and soils with shallowwater tables are more prone to produce runoff that contains thisproduct. A level, well maintained vegetative buffer strip betweenareas to which this product is applied and surface water featuressuch as ponds, streams, and springs will reduce the potential forcontamination of water from runoff. Runoff of this product will bereduced by avoiding applications when rainfall is forecasted tooccur within 48 INFORMATIONJUDOis a Flowable (Suspension Concentrate) formulation that isintended for control of mites and whiteflies on ornamental plants,flowers and foliage plants in the greenhouse and field and containernurseries. The active ingredient contained in JUDOis active on allmite development stages. However, mite juvenile stages are oftenmore susceptible than adults. Application should be timed to coincidewith early threshold levels in a developing mite population.

5 JUDOis also highly effective against whitefly nymphs, plus it has asignificant effect on the otherwise difficult to control pupal stage. Forbest results against whitefly, applications should target these be applied by ground equipment. Thorough coverage ofall plant parts is required for optimum performance. Performanceevaluations should be made 4 10 days after specific dosage of JUDOas needed for control. For bestresults good coverage of the upper and lower leaf surfaces is recom-mended. 6 Studies to determine cross-resistance with judo linked to other commercial Insecticide /miticides havedemonstrated no cross-resistance. However, repeated useof any crop protection product may increase the develop-ment of resistant strains of pests, including insects andmites. Using JUDOin successive Miticide applications during thesame cropping cycle is not recommended. Use JUDOas apart of a sound resistance management program thatincludes rotation with other treatments with different modes ofaction. 8 This Standard contains requirements for the protection ofagricultural workers on farms, forests, nurseries, and green-houses, and handlers of agricultural pesticides. It containsrequirements for training, decontamination, notification, andemergency assistance. It also contains specific instructionsand exceptions pertaining to the statements on this labelabout personal protective equipment (PPE), and restricted-entry interval. The requirements in this box only apply touses of this product that are covered by the WorkerProtection Standard. Do not enter or allow worker entry into treated areas duringthe restricted entry interval (REI) of 12 hoursfollowing appli-cation.
