1 1 Half Square Triangle Blocks:2 Arrange and sew 36 half square triangle blocks, 12-91/2" LayerCake squares and 16-91/2" background squares in 8 rows as shown. Press even row in one directions, the odd rows in the opposite direction. Join the rows. Layer, Quilt and is 72" x 72" " seams. Press in the direction of the arrows.(A) Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of 18-10" background squares.(B) Layer a marked 10" background square and a 10" LayerCake square right sides together. Sew a 1/4" from both sides of the drawn diagonal line. Cut on the diagonal line. Press open toward the LayerCake triangle. This makes 2 half square triangle blocks.

2 If necessary, trim the blocks to measure 91/2"x91/2".
