The maceratorsection grinds waste down to a particle size of1/8" maximum so it can easily be pumped through agarden hose. Empties a typical 40-gallon holding tank inless than 5 18555-series waste pump will macerate and pumpall waste and tissue normally found in recreationalvehicle waste systems.

Removerubber boot, turn shaftclockwise as shown, andreplace rubber INSTRUCTIONS1.
5 Refer to electrical drawing above. Connect the 6 footswitch assembly to RV waste pump motor wires withbutt connectors (connect the orange motor wire tothe orange switch wire; and the black motor wire tothe black connector wire).2. Locate a 12 VDC, 20 amp power source and i n s t a l lthe 6 foot power connector-cable; Connect theorange positive wire to a 20 amp circuit, and theBlack negative wire to a negative circuit or chassisground. Locate this connector in the wastecompartment or adjacent to the 3 inch waste drainand valves.
6 Optionally, alligator clips (with 20 amprating) may be installed on the 6 foot powerconnector-cable for a fully portable :The fuse is located under theblack dust cover on the bottom of the On/Off ControlHandle. 7 Slidethe macerator adapter (Key 4) off the studs. Insert a thinbladed 9/32" (7mm) ignition wrench behind the chopperplate (Key 6) and onto the flat of the motor shaft toprevent it from turning. Unscrew (counter-clockwise) thelocknut 7/16 (11 mm) on the end of the motor shaft andremove the stainless steel chopper blade. Remove thepump wearplate (Key 7) and two paper gaskets (Key 8).Now slide the pump body (Key 12) with impeller (Key 9),small wearplate (Key 10), two studs and shaft seal as anassembly off the motor shaft and remaining twomounting studs. Remove the starlock retaining washeron the seal and push the seal out of the seal reconditioning pump with a service kit (Part ), it is not necessary to remove the sealbecause the new seal is pre-installed in the new body.
8 Itis also generally not necessary to remove the slinger orbrass studs screwed into the motor end installing a new seal, push it into the seal bore of thebody with the lip pointing toward the impeller the starlock washer into the seal bore with theconcave side up to secure the seal in the bore. Install thetwo shorter studs in the two holes with threaded insertsin the new pump body and tighten finger tight. Ifrequired, screw the two longer studs into the tappedholes in the motor end bell. Slide the new pump bodywith the shaft seal installed onto the motor shaft and twolong mounting studs in the motor.
9 Slide the smallwearplate over the motor shaft and position it in thebottom of the impeller bore. Slide the new impeller ontothe motor shaft and, with a counter-clockwise motion, push it into the pump impeller bore. Position one newgasket on the studs and against the pump bodyassuring the cut-out aligns with the inlet groove in thebody. Position the large wearplate and second gasket onthe studs and against the body again aligning the hole inthe wearplate and gasket cut-out with the pump the chopper on the end of the motor shaft withdrive tab aligned with flat of shaft and pointing towardthe motor.
10 Hold the shaft with the ignition wrench andsecure the chopper to the shaft with the the macerator housing on the four studsensuring the cut-out in the inner wall aligns with pumpbody inlet port and hole in the wearplate. Position a newfiber washer on each of the studs and secure themacerator housing in place with the four acorn LISTKey*These parts are supplied in 18598-2000 service kitDescriptionQtyPartNumberAcorn NutFiber WasherStudPump AdapterRinse AdapterChopper Plate w/LocknutWearplate, LargeGaskets (2 ea. per kit)ImpellerWearplate, SmallPump BodySealSlingerStudMotorService KitAdapter O-ring Kit (2 per kit)Rubber BootSwitch (not shown)Wire Harness w/Connector4421111111111211111191085-034 0*91613-0140*17288-0010*18599-000A*91010 250A*37056-1000*18597-1000*18596-1000*63 03-0003*12316-1002*18593-1001*1040-0000* 6342-0000*17288-0000*74001-1853A*18598-2 000*91010253A*210003712100037820030415A1 234567891011121314151617
