The plate provides the unitmodel number, the unit serial number and the unit partsidentification number (PID).

The model numberidentifies the overall unit configuration while the PIDprovides information on specific optional equipment, factory provision to allow for field installation ofoptional equipment and differences in detailed identification for the Models coveredherein are provided in the Carrier Transicold ContainerUnit Matrix manual, publication T--300. Printed copiesof the T--300 may be obtained from Carrier , aweekly updated copy may befoundat theCarrierWeb site, OPTION DESCRIPTIONSV arious options may be factory or field fitted to the baseunit. These options are listed in the tables and describedin the following BatteryThe refrigeration controller may be fitted with standardreplaceable batteries or rechargeable battery DehumidificationThe unit may be fitted with a humidity sensor.

Thissensor allows setting of a humidity set point in thecontroller. In the dehumidification mode the controllerwill operate to reduce internal container moisture Control BoxThe control box may be of aluminum or compositematerial and each type box may be fittedwith Temperature ReadoutThe unit may be fitted with suction and dischargetemperature sensors. The sensor readings may beviewed on the controller Pressure ReadoutThe unit may be fitted with suction and dischargepressure gauges or suction and discharge transducers orno pressure readout. The transducer readings may beviewed on the controller USDAThe unit may be supplied with fittings for additionaltemperature probes which allow recording of USDACold Treatment data by the integral DataCORDER function of the Micro--Link refrigeration InterrogatorUnits that usetheDataCORDER functionarefittedwithinterrogator receptacles for connection of equipment todownload the recorded data.

Two receptacles may befitted, oneaccessible from the front of the container andthe other mounted inside the container (with the USDA receptacles). Remote MonitoringThe unit may be fitted with a remote monitoringreceptacle. This item allows connection of remoteindicators for COOL, DEFROST and IN otherwise indicated, the receptacleis mounted atthe control box unit may be fitted with a communications interfacemodule. The communications interface module is aslave module which allows communication with amaster central monitoring station. The module willrespond to communication and return information overthe main power line. Refer to the ship master systemtechnical manual for further CompressorThe unit is fitted with a single speed Condenser CoilThe unit may be fitted with a 2 row or 4 row coil usingnominal 3/8 inch tubing, or the unit may be fitted with a3 row coil using 7mm tubing.

The required refrigerantcharge is different for each AutotransformerAn autotransformer may be provided to allow operationon 190/230, 3phase, 50/60 hertz power. Theautotransformer raises the supply voltage to thenominal 380/460 volt power required by the base autotransformer may also be fitted with anindividual circuit breaker for the 230 volt the unit is fitted with an autotransformer andcommunications module, the autotransformer will befitted with a transformer bridge unit (TBU) to assist Temperature RecorderOne of three temperature recording devices may befitted to the unit. The devices include a mechanicalrecorder manufactured by Partlow Corporation, amechanical recorder manufactured by SaginomiyaCorporation, and an electronic recorder manufacturedby Partlow GuttersRain gutters may be fitted over the control box andrecorder section to divert rain away form the different gutters include standard length boltedgutters, extended length gutters and riveted Rev HandlesTheunit maybefittedwithhandles tofacilitateaccesstostacked containers.

These handles may included fixedhandles (located at the sides of the unit) and/or a hingedhandle at the center (attached to the condenser coilcover). Thermometer PortTheunit maybefittedwithports inthefront oftheframefor insertion of a thermometer to measure supply and/orreturn air temperature. If fitted, the port(s) will require acap and Water CoolingThe refrigeration system may be fitted with a watercooled condenser. The condenser is constructed usingcopper--nickel tube for sea water applications. Thewater cooled condenser is in series with the air cooledcondenser replaces the standard unit receiver. Whenoperating on the water cooled condenser, the condenserfan is deactivated by either a water pressure switch orcondenser fan Back PanelsBack panel designs that may be fitted include panels ofaluminum and stainless steel.

Panels may be fitted withaccess doors and/or hinge 460 Volt CableVarious power cable and plug designs are available forthe main 460 volt supply. The plug options tailor thecables to each customers 230 Volt CableUnits equipped with an autotransformer require anadditional power cable for connection to the 230 voltsource. Various power cable and plug designs areavailable. The plug options tailor the cables to eachcustomers Cable RestraintVarious designs are available for storage of the powercables. These options are variations of the compressorsection front Upper Air (Fresh Air Make Up)The unit may be fitted with an upper fresh air makeupassembly. These assemblies are supplied in twodesigns, the standard design and the micro design.

Theopenings may also be fitted with Lower Air (Fresh Air Make Up)The unit may be fitted with a lower fresh air makeupassembly. These assemblies are supplied in twodesigns, the standard design and the macro design. Theopenings may also be fitted with Controlled AtmosphereThe units may be fitted with the TransFresh information on the TransFresh system, contactTransFresh Corporation, Box 1788, Salinas Arctic ModeTo improve operation in cold ambients, the unit may befitted with a crankcase heater and/or a condensate drainline heater. The crankcase heater is operated, beforestart--up, to warm the compressor oil and boil off anyliquid refrigerant that may be present in the drain line heater is operated to prevent freezing ofthe evaporator condensate drain HumidificationThe unit may be equipped with the Carrier TransicoldNatureFreshhumiditymanagement system.
