3 The poppet valve ismechanically held open during theblowing cycle. The valve automaticallycloses after completion of the blowingsweep. After initiation from the startsignal the model D5E RotarySootblower is automatically self-controlled. The proper stop point isdetermined by a limit switch positivelydriven by the bull gear to eliminate thepossibility of phase shifting between theblowing arc and ROTARY blower cleaning sweep can be adjusted bysimply removing sections of the openercam.
