Response s to Questions and/or RFI s:Response s to Questions:EDM Construction electronic mail to CPBidQuestions from Hendrik Pedersen email dated 04/23/2018:Item #1 Summary of Question: Subsection steel-framed stairs under Section 051200 (structural steel framing) indicate that the stair stringers are included under structural steel.

2 Section 055100 (Metal stairs and railings) also include the stair stringers (see section Steel framed stair ). We assume the stair stringers would be part of 055100. Please specify which section the stair stringers are included under (Either 051200 or 055100).Design Team Response: Stair Stringers and stair related work indicated on structural drawings are anticipated to be covered under section #2 Summary of Question: Please confirm that all the support steel (columns, bracing etc.) for the stairs are included under section 51200.

3 Design Team Response: Confirmed. Item #3 Summary of Question: Contract drawing G201 has a note stating New access stair and platform (by others) . We assume this is a typo. Please confirm. Design Team Response: Confirmed. Access stair and platform are provided under this contract, not by #4 Summary of Question: Contract drawing C200 shows 10 DIA steel bollards fill with concrete . Do the bollards have a base plate and anchors or are they cast into the ground? Please provide detail for bollards.

4 Design Team Response: Steel bollard detail is shown on #5 Summary of Question: Bollards are included in section 055000 but which sections is the concrete fill included under?Design Team Response: Section 033000, provide 3000 PSI concrete as indicated on detail #6 Summary of Question: Detail 9 on S203 shows a sole plate with/bolts (coordinate size, location with MEP and PUMP manufacturer). Please specify which subsection this sole plate is included Team Response: Section #7 Summary of Question: Detail 9 on S203 shows a 1 x4 -2 x 4 -2 plate with 4 DIA bolts.

5 Please specify if this plate is part of section 051200 or 055000. Design Team Response: Section #8 Summary of Question: Subsection under section 055100 calls for 3. Steel mesh infill panels . We have not been able to locate these on drawings. Please provide detailDesign Team Response: Item 3. Steel Mesh Infill Panels are not #9 Summary of Question: Subsection under section 055000 calls for 10. cast gray iron nosings and 11. cast gray iron downspout boots . We have not been able to locate these on the contract drawings.

Design Team Response: Items 10. cast Gray iron nosings and 11. cast gray iron downspout boots are not #10 Summary of Question: Subsection , , and under section 055000 calls for the following items pipe guards , metal floor plate , cast -iron wheel guards and security screens . We have not been able to locate these on the contract drawings. Please provide details. Design Team Response: Pipe Guards, metal floor plate, cast iron wheel guards and security screens are not included.

7 3 Daniel O Connell s Sons electronic mail to CPBidQuestions from Steve Nannini email dated 04/23/2018:Item #11 Summary of Question: Note 12 on sheet G000 requires scanning at all locations to be cored. Please confirm the following; File Sub Bidders will be responsible for this cost for their own penetrations and all core locations have been coordinated across design Team Response: The General Contractor is responsible for all coring required. The General Contractor shall review all plans and provide final coordination with the #12 Summary of Question: Note E5 on sheet S001 indicates the Contractor is to design the connections for Structural Steel.

8 Please confirm the Engineer of Record for the Project will design all connections and structural steel details (including weld sizes currently not shown) on this Project for the Contractor to detail shop drawings Team Response: The Contractor shall design connections to loads indicated and comply with other information and restrictions indicated (for example see notes E6 through E11), except where connection is fully detailed on the bid #13 Summary of Question: Note 3 on sheet S101 requires the Contractor to coordinate the Steel Framing layout with the pre-purchased Cooling tower.

9 As the Cooling Tower is pre-purchased, has the Structural Engineer already preformed this coordination?Design Team Response: A design level structural coordination has been performed. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Cooling Tower and field #14 Summary of Question: If it is the intent that the Contractor is to design the steel connections, please confirm that the Misc. Metals File Sub Bidder will be responsible for this cost for their Team Response: The steel indicated on the structural drawings, the respective connection design is part of the bidder scope under Specification Section #15 Summary of Question: Sheet S101, Detail 3 includes a note requiring the Contractor to re-design the foundation layout at no cost should the loadings of the Cooling tower (which is pre-purchased) change.

10 Please confirm that this coordination has already taken place as the Cooling tower is pre-purchased, and that the Contractor will not be responsible for Structural Team Response: Design is based on the loads indicated per coordination with the Tower Vendor.
