Customers that require Office can select to purchase Visual Studio Premium with MSDN. 3) What s the difference between MSDN Platforms and TechNet? TechNet is geared for IT Pros that evaluate software, while MSDN Platforms is for IT Pros that are involved in the software development process, such as setting up development and testing environments, replicating customer issues in a non-production environment, and have considerably more expansive usage rights.

MSDN Platforms is a perpetual subscription, like all other MSDN subscriptions. If the VL program through which the license was purchased is a perpetual program (such as EA, Select, Select Plus, or Open Value), then the licensed user can continue using the software even after the subscription expires and is not renewed. 5) Is Windows Azure included with MSDN Platforms ? We re working on adding Windows Azure to the subscription, date TBD.
