3 Apply in General Course : The applicants, who are willing to apply in General Course, have to use APPLY IN GENERAL button. SUBJECTCHOICE : For Honours Course: Each Applicant may apply for not more than Three subjects for Honours course and he/she has to choose the subjects for the Honours course & two elective subjects selecting one subject * except Geo/* from corresponding two subjects combination groups ( Group-I & Group-II).(see Prospectus portal). For General Course: The candidates in General Course have to select Three Elective subjects taking one from each groups mentioned under heading Subject offered in General course of study (see Prospectus portal). NOTE: i) Applicants may choose General Subject(s) as per their choice. But finally the said subject(s) will be offered to him/her on availability or eligibility at the time of admission. ii) Students must not select that subject(s) in Honours in which he/she has failed in level.

4 Iii) Students must not select that subject(s) as one of their combination subject in which he/she has failed in level. iv) Geography- An eligible admitted candidate willing to take up Physical Education / Geography must have to apply filling up a separate application form to be obtained from college office at the cost of the date of his/her admission(See Prospectus portal). v) A candidate passing with Geography in the examination may be offered Geography on merit.(See Prospectus portal). vi) So far as the subject of Physical Education is concerned preference will be given to candidates having District or State level sports certificate issued by the competent authority. Physical Education subject be offeredon the basis of merit and fitness test. (See Prospectus portal). vii) A candidate is allowed to take up Mathematics if he/she is found to have passed the subject at the immediate previous qualifying exam.

5 Viii)A Candidate is allowed to take up Computer Science if he/she is found to have read either Computer Science/Computer Application/ Mathematics and Physic at the Immediate previous Qualifying Exam. ix) As per merit list and intake capacity Geography/Physical Education will be offered. Students are to follow the notice regarding Merit list/Fitness test/Counseling and admission at our college website- x) The College shall not be liable for any implication (be responsible in any way) in case any of the information submitted by the applicant is found to be erroneous and incorrect. His/her application/ counseling/ admission may be terminated in such cases. All the Fields are mandatory. Incomplete Forms will be treated as cancelled. STEP 1: (FORM SUBMISSION) Before filling in Form, applicants have to scan their recent passport size photo & full Signature of the candidate for uploading it in the Form by using CHOOSE FILE button (picture size should not below 20 kb or more than100 kb & Signature between 10 kb to 30 kb).

6 They have to click ONLINE APPLICATION FORM button (Apply in Honours/Apply in General)to submit necessary data like name, date of birth, address, caste/category, contact no., subject marks etc. very carefully. STEP 2: (FORM CONFIRMATION, PAYMENT APPLICATION FEES AND PRINT FORM & PAYMENT SLIP/BANK CHALLAN) After submitting that, a Confirm Page of the Form will be displayed in the monitor for Confirmation of all data by the applicants and they have to select Payment Option Payment Online/Make Payment ( /STATE BANK COLLECT) for payment of the Application Fees.(Applicants may click BACK button for any correction, and submit again) Payment Offline (Print copy And Submit SBI Branch In west Bengal) i) PAYMENT THROUGH ONLINE : If the applicants wish to pay requisite Application Fees by using Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking, they have to click( /STATE BANK COLLECT) button and then follow step-by-step process.

7 In this process they have to take print out of Form & Online Payment Slip and submit the Form and Xerox copy of this Payment Slip to the college office at the time of admission. ii) PAYMENT THROUGH OFFLINE: If the applicants wish to deposit requisite Application Fees through Bank Challan, they have to click also Payment Online/Make Payment( /STATE BANK COLLECT)button and then follow step-by-step process and click SBI OTHER In this process they have to take print out of Form and TWO PART BANK CHALLAN, of which a) The Bank Part has to be submitted to any branch of STATE BANK OF INDIA and deposit requisite Application Fees b) The College Part has to be submitted to the college office at the time of admission. NOTE : Without payment of Application Fees, No forms will be considered for Merit List. STEP 3: (PAYMENT STATUS CHECKING) Applicants are advised to check the Payment Status of their Forms after one day from the date of depositing/payment of application fees, through button and then follow step-by-step process and select PAYMENT STATUS then put ID & Password for payment details.

8 If the Form is not displayed as PAID even after one day from the date of depositing/payment of application fees, the applicants are advised to contact with the Bank and take necessary steps within Only PAID Forms will be considered for Merit List. (For Example: If an applicant deposits/pays Application Fees on ,he/she will be able to check the Payment Status of his/her Form on ) STEP-BY-STEP STEP 4:(Mrit list published,E-counseling & Admission process) Visit to Nagar College as per Notice along with all testimonials (Orginal & Photocopy) and if slected for admission,deposit printed application Form,Bank challan/Payment Slip for Scrutiny. NOTE: After completion of STEP3, applicants are advised to follow the Merit List and Admission Notice that will be published in this website PRINT DUPLICATE APPLICATION FORM : Applicants may take print out of Duplicate Application Form through PRINT DUPLICATE APPLICATION FORM button by using their Application ID No.

PRINT DUPLICAT EBANK CHALLAN: Bank challan may take print out of Duplicate Bank Challan ( /STATE BANK COLLECT) ) button and then follow step-by-step process and select REPRINT REMITTANCE FORM then put data for Print Bank Details after Form Submission. FORM CORRECTION: Applicants may edit/correct their Forms (Except Date of Birth) through FORM CORRECTION button by using their Application ID No. as User ID and Date of Birth as Password .They have to print the edited/corrected Application Form and submit it to the college office at the time of admission. (A)Eligibility for Pursuing Honours Course of studies- A Candidate taking up Honours course in a subject must have obtained: (i) A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. (ii) A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination (iii) A minimum of 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.

10 (iv) Relaxation candidates belonging to the Schedule Cast or Schedule Tribe community taking up Honours courses shall enjoy a 5% relaxation in marks in clauses (I), (II) and (III) mentioned above, as the case may be. (B) MERIT POINT CALCULATION FORMULA: Merit List- Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit: Merit list will be prepared uniformly on the basis of following criteria. (I) In case of Honours Courses Aggregate (as per explanation) plus the marks obtained in the subject or related subject. However,students who avail themselves of the Rule (E) (III) above will not get the benefit of related subject. (II) In case of General Course : Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of aggregate (as per above exaplation) (III) In case of Physical Education : Merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate (as per above exaplation) plus the marks obtained in the fitness test (IV) In case of Geography in General Course:(as per above explanation) plus the marks obtained in the subject or related subject.
