Vehicle owners may also find the MANUAL useful in that it details the inspections to which a vehicle will be subjected and the reasons why it may not be considered roadworthy. This MANUAL sets out the testing methods to be employed by those involved in NATIONAL car testing. It also provides guidance to NCT test operators and testers in relation to the reasons why a vehicle may fail a road-worthiness test and the categorisation of defects.
