2 Job summary: We require a MANUFACTURING Engineer to ensure that all products are manufactured to design specifications in a cost effective manner by specifying all necessary equipment, training, documentation and processes are in place prior to and during production. The MANUFACTURING Engineer also undertakes MANUFACTURING improvement projects and provides support to all areas of the business unit. Essential duties and responsibilities: Be tenacious in learning the specifics of the business unit and its MANUFACTURING processes Be an "ambassador of change" Specify Methods of Manufacture, in compliance with engineering documentation Create and maintain MANUFACTURING Aids, Standard Operating Procedures, and Standard Methods of MANUFACTURING Provide part sales quotes/estimates and job costing Create design documentation for and commissioning of MANUFACTURING jigs, equipment, and processes Review new engineering designs for manufacturability Assist in the creation and processing of Issue and Improvement Requests Research and produce financial justification for cost savings initiatives Participate in the lean MANUFACTURING initiatives Create and maintain kanban part replenishment systems Monitor and maintain the integrity of MANUFACTURING related information in the COMPANY ERP system Set inventory levels based on historical usage and forecast Carry out assigned projects 2 | P a g e Requirements.

3 Diploma in Mechanical/ MANUFACTURING Engineering Technology (Technician) with experience in a related industry or equivalent experience Sound understanding of technical drawings and associated symbols Excellent English communication skills Strong computer literacy and knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor (or similar 3D CAD software), and Microsoft Excel Ability to work effectively independent and in a team, in a fast-paced MANUFACTURING environment Solid understanding of Bill of Material structure and functionality Efficiently plan own time to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines in relation to COMPANY vision and goals Demonstrated ability to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks Demonstrated detail-oriented and organized work style Ability to systematically analyze problems and procedures Desirable Experience/Education: Understanding of machining & welding processes and terminology Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Epicor Vantage Experience facilitating training and learning for system users Experience leading a team Knowledge of lean MANUFACTURING Experience with shop floor MANUFACTURING , particularity in heavy industry Experience managing inventory We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
