3 Circuit breakers shall be bolt-on-type, quick-make quick-break, trip-free, thermalmagnetic with a minimuminterrupting capacity of10,000 amperes symmetricalat rated voltage. Trippedindication shall be clearlyshown on the breaker handletaking a position between ON and OFF. Circuitbreakers shall be equippedwith individually insulated,braced and protectedconnectors. Branch breakersto be connected for sequencephasing, breakers 1 and 2connected to phase a ,breakers 3 and 4 to phase b ,etc, to conform to branchcircuit numbering systemshown on drawing. Polarity orblock phasing will not beacceptable.

4 The front faces ofall circuit breakers shall beflush with each other. Largepermanent individualnumbers shall be affixed inauniform position. Provisionsfor additional breakers shallbe such that field addition ofconnectors or mountinghardware will not be requiredto add breakers to thepanelboard. Where spaces arecalled for, panel bus shall beextended behind the bus structure andmain lugs, main breaker ormain switch shall havecurrent ratings as shown onthe panelboard schedule. Suchratings shall be established byheat rise tests with maximumhot spot temperature on anyconnector or bus bar.

5 Heatrise test shall be conducted inaccordance with UL 67. Allbus bar shall be copper. Busbar shall be rated for 1000amperes per square inchm i n i m u m .The panelboard assemblyshall be enclosed in a steelcabinet. The size of the wiringgutters and gauge of steelshall be in accordance withNEMA Standards PublicationNo. PB1 and UL StandardsNo. 67 for Panelboards . Thebox shall be fabricated fromgalvanized steel or equivalentrust resistant steel. Enclosureto be for indoor or outdooruse as indicated. A ground baris to be furnished in the shall include a doorover the breaker handles witha tumbler-type lock withcatch.

6 The inner door shall beover the switch handles over 48 inches inheight shall be equipped withthree-point catch and lockwith vault handle. Allpanelboard locks to be keyedalike.
