This rate is subject to change. There are threeassignment levels within this class of positions. 5 5039 - Page 2 Special Circumstances Guide: This guide is located on the DCAS website and available at the DCASC omputer-based Testing & Applications Centers. This guide gives important information about requesting analternate test date because of religious observance or a special test accommodation for disability, claimingVeterans' or Legacy credit, and notifying DCAS of a change in your mailing address. Follow all instructions onthe Special Circumstances Guide that pertain to you when you complete your "Application for EXAMINATION ."HOW TO QUALIFY: This is a computer-based Qualifying Education and Experience Test. Your educationand experience will be evaluated online and you will receive immediate tentative results.

6 You may be giventhe test before we verify your qualifications. You are responsible for determining whether or not you meet thequalification requirements for this EXAMINATION prior to submitting your application. If you are marked "NotQualified," your application fee will not be refunded and you will not receive an Admission NOTICE or and Experience baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three years of satisfactory, full-timeprogressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in anadministrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderatedifficulty; associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and four years ofsatisfactory, full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year ofadministrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above.

7 Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory, full-timeprogressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of administrative orsupervisory experience as described in "1" above; and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2" or "3" above. However, all candidates mustpossess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Educationabove the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but notfor the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at the rate of 30semester credits from an accredited college or university for 6 months of experience, up to a maximumof 3 in an administrative capacity includes tasks which provide high level support to an office and/or topexecutive of an organization, with the authority to make critical decisions about matters of significance.

8 It doesnot include basic clerical tasks such as filing, typing and data entry, answering the telephone, sorting and education requirement must be met by June 30, 2015. The experience requirement must be met by thelast day of the Application Period (March 24, 2015).The high school diploma or its educational equivalent must be approved by a State's Department of Education ora recognized accrediting organization. The college or university must be accredited by regional, national,professional, or specialized agencies recognized as accrediting bodies by the Secretary of Education and bythe Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).In order to receive credit for the twelve months of satisfactory experience in a supervisory capacity orperforming high level work in an administrative capacity as described above, for each employment you musthave performed at least 7 (seven) of the tasks listed in the following Task Category of the PrincipalAdministrative Associate Task Inventory:TaskTaskCategory # Staff Performing Responsible Clerical/Administrative Work or Performs High LevelWork in an Administrative Capacity.

9 (30 Tasks)In order to receive credit for satisfactory clerical/administrative experience as described above, for eachemployment you must have performed at least 7 (seven) of the tasks listed in one of the following TaskCategories of the Principal Administrative Associate Task Inventory:TaskTaskCategory # Staff Performing Responsible Clerical/Administrative Work or Performs High LevelWork in an Administrative Capacity.
