3 15-06 Shall the governing body of Elmwood, Nebraska impose a one and one-half percent ( ) sales and use tax upon the same transactions within such municipality on which the State of Nebraska is authorized to impose a tax and increase its budgeted restricted funds base by $75, or in excess of the limits prescribed by law effective for the fiscal year 2016-2017? The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Elmwood, Nebraska are proposing a one percent (1%) increase in the local sales and use tax within the Village, resulting in a one and one-half percent ( ) local sales and use tax to be used for community development, infrastructure and street projects as well as any general purpose.
