Last year we very fortunate to collect just over 15 tons of food for 15 area food shelves.

3 Kiwanis Holiday Lights was also able to donate $40,000 to the non-profits that helped us set-up, run and tear-down the event . This would not be possible without the support of the participating non-profit organizations, business sponsors and community members . We especially want to thank our presenting sponsors, the Mankato Area Foundation and CHS, who were instrumental in helping to start this event three years ago .We have added four new lighted displays to the park this year which include two elves having a snowball fight, a nativity scene and a candy cane cottage . In addition, be sure to look up into the trees so you can see Santa and his reindeer flying high above the ground!

4 Last year we grew our animated lights area and this year we continue the tradition of making this area of the park bigger and better . The walking tunnel has also been increased in size and we have added a few new songs to the lights show .The Mary Dotson Skating Rink will be back again this year . This synthetic rink offers skaters of all ages a great experience of skating under the lights .Make sure you take the time to both drive and walk through the park, since each will offer a different perspective . I personally enjoy walking through the park and seeing all the smiling faces as they enjoy the winter landscape . On behalf of the Kiwanis Holiday Lights board, I thank you for coming to this event and welcome you to come back as often as you would like!
