1 NSC General Meeting Feb 2, 2011 . Called to order 8:45 pm Present: Pat Barriage, Chrystal Blackett, Geri Brown, Gina DeHoog, Lesley Flint, Anika Gattiker, Ali Shervill, Kate Hepburn, Tina Hackle, Downie Phillips, Chris Hassell, Alix Hassell, Lexy & Tom Kirk, Tammy Loughran, Jill O'Neill, Erin Rowsell, Reka Schippers, Rose Ann Taylor Minutes read aloud by Geri Brown. Jill O'Neil motioned Minutes be adopted as read, 2nd by Pat Barriage. Carried. Treasurer's report presented by Erin Rowsell. Motion to accept report by Reka Schippers and 2nd by Jill O'Neil. Old Business: 2010 achievements: New Round pen and footing, grants applied for and received, new signage, judge's booth repairs, D ring sand removal, wash rack repairs, shavings area cleanup and tarped.
2 Geri continues to work on various grant applications. We received funds from BV. foundation for the shavings Bin. A letter of appreciation will be sent. As requested of Ron Brown he brought a quote back for cement slab and wood walls for shavings bin and for ramp for manure bins. Lexy Kirk on behalf of the NSC presented past President Rejeanne Dejong and Reka Schippers with some beautiful roses. We, as the NSC really need to remember our simple thank you's to those that are volunteers and make sure they know that the time any volunteer has invested into our club is valued. New Business WISH RIDE???? Sometime in July, Back Country Horsemen are looking for someone to take this event on or help with, event was missed last year but the Children's Wish Foundation is the one really missing out.
3 SOMEBODY PLEASE!!!! Contact Eileen Shorter for more info. Cheryl Mikolychuck (sp) is to bring a proposal to NSC to repair/replace concession both and we are to consider if we want to put $$$ into this building or not. Gina Dehoog-Illes is to look into indoor extension with Fairboard and clarify lease area. Website now allows members links. Volunteer Trophy has been passed down from our 2009 winners Tom and Lexy Kirk, to the Ewald Family for 2010, Congratulations!!! Reminder to get photos of both families for our web page. BVX is adding AQHA classes, open and amateur, Bridle-less trail and Battle of the Breeds, Trainers Challenge will also be returning to the BVX if interested in helping with class list be at BP @ 7:00pm on Feb 13th.
