ADVERTISEMENT-- HP NTSE- 2021-22 National Talent Search Examination Stage I SCERT, Solan ( ) The National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X is meant to identify and nurture talent and is sponsored by MHRD. Two thousand (2000) scholarships are awarded to meritorious students selected in two stage selection process of examination is conducted every year at two levels. 1 ADVERTISEMENT-- HP NTSE- 2021-22 National Talent Search Examination Stage I SCERT, Solan ( ) The National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X is meant to identify and nurture talent and is sponsored by MHRD. Two thousand (2000) scholarships are awarded to meritorious students selected in two stage selection process of examination is conducted every year at two levels. Stage-I (State Level): NTSE Stage I will be conducted by SCERT ( ), in which fifty one (51) students will be selected. 2 Stage-II (National Level): The students selected in Stage-I will be eligible to appear in National Talent Search Examination (NTSE-II) to be conducted by NCERT, Delhi on 12th (Sunday) Scholarships: Two thousand scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit in NTSE-II for different stages of education as follows: a. Scholarship of per month for Class-XI to XII. b. Scholarship of per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates. c. Amount of Scholarship for is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms. Reservation: 15% for students belonging to the SC category, for students belonging to the ST category and 27% for students belonging to OBC category (non creamy Layer) as per central list available on :in/user , 10% for EWSs (Economically Weaker Sections) those who are not covered under the reservation scheme for SCs/STs/OBCs), 4% for PCG (Children with benchmark disabilities more than 40%).

3 Candidates applying under reserved categories have to attach relevant certificates from competent authority in standard formats. Eligibility: (i) All students of Class- X studying in recognized schools of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to appear for the Stage-I Examination to be conducted by the SCERT,Solan ( ).There will be no domicile restriction. (ii) Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years as on 1st July of 2021, the student is not employed and she/he is appearing in class X examination for the first time.

4 Certificate from competent authority is required. Qualifying Marks: The candidates from General/OBC & EWS categories should have secured at least 60% marks in class IX and candidates from SC/ST/PCG category Should have secured at least 55% marks in class IX to apply for NTSE Stage-I examination. Examination Fee: No Examination fee will be charged for the examination.
