3 After June 15 o Begin pre-cast concrete I-beam placement on wider bridge portion August 25 o Once beams in are in place, begin forming for concrete work EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Phase 3: September 15, 2005 May 15, 2006 Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction bidirectional in eastbound lanes utilizing crossovers throughout winter Work to be accomplished during this phase: o Remove existing westbound bridge deck o Place forms for new westbound bridge deck o Form and pour new westbound deck beginning November 1 Phase 4: May 15, 2006 September 15, 2006 All lanes of traffic open on weekends o All eastbound lanes open Friday 8 to Monday 8 o All westbound lanes open Friday 10 to Monday 10 Work to be accomplished during this phase: o Construct wider eastbound bridge substructure (drilled shafts, piers, pier caps) o Place pre-cast concrete I-beam placement on wider bridge portion o Once beams in are in place, begin forming for concrete work Phase 5: September 16, 2006 May 15, 2007 Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction bidirectional in westbound lanes Work to be accomplished during this phase.
