5 They can be further processed to produce soaps, detergents, surfactants and lubricants. They are also used as raw materials for dimer acids, fractionated fatty acids and others. In the production of soaps and detergents, distilled fatty acids optimize the properties such as increasing the quality and quantity of foam, optimizing the dissolution rate and the viscosity. EDENOR split fatty acids are derived from palm kernel oil. They are produced by splitting fats at high temperature and pressure.
