The south dakota Early Childhood Enrichment system is pleased to announce the release of the south dakota specific on DEMAND series of classes to help child care providers to meet the ORIENTATION TRAINING requirements. This series of 10 classes is free and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Child care providers may register online for the TRAINING through any regional ECE office. On DEMAND TRAINING Topics Include Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Safe Sleep Practices and Reducing the Risk of SIDS. Administration of Medications in Child Care Preventing & Responding to Food Emergencies and Allergic Reactions Providing a Safe Environment in Child Care Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma Emergency Preparedness and Planning for Child Care Programs Safe Handling & Storage of Hazardous Materials in Child Care Appropriate Precautions in Transporting Children Child Development Free TRAINING Content On DEMAND ORIENTATION TRAINING is available free of charge.
