2 Arts & :00 Family :00 Care :00 :00 :00 open Class GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1) Exhibit Building is open 9:00 8:30 2) The Association will pay cash premiums as enumerated in this premium list, and we desire to encourage all worthy exhibits, and shall be glad to furnish space for all desirable exhibits. The Association reserves the right to postpone or carry the fair over one to two days following the fair date on account of rainy weather and all exhibits will be held until released by the secretary and any exhibit leaving unless released by the secretary will forfeit all premiums won. 3) Exhibitors must see to the delivery of their exhibits, to the exhibit building on the fairgrounds. NO ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN EXHIBITED AT THE SOUTHERN IOWA FAIR BEFORE WILL BE ACCEPTED IN open Class .

3 The Board of Directors and Superintendents will use all diligence to ensure the safety of stock and articles after their arrival but will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. Exhibitors must give personal attention to the property and immediately preceding the close of the fair, take charge of the same. 4) NO EXHIBITOR IS TO MAKE COMMENT DURING THE JUDGING. If so, exhibits will be disqualified. Any questions may be presented at close of judging. 5) Persons interested directly in the premiums in any department must not act as a judge in that department. The Association will supply expert judges for each department as far as possible. 6) Exhibitors bringing or picking up exhibits on Sunday will not pay a parking fee and will be allowed to park in the area of the Exhibit Hall.

4 On Monday after 4:00pm you will be charged a parking fee. Monday & Saturday you will have to park in the regular parking lot. This applies to everyone. 7) Office personnel will pay premiums for open Class exhibits, in the exhibit building on Saturday, July 21 from 8:00 9:00 or Sunday, July 22 from 1:00-3:00 , at the time you pick up your exhibit. 8) Certificates of Registry must be furnished if demanded of animals exhibited. 9) ALL PREMIUM CHECKS NOT CASHED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE DATE ON THE CHECK WILL BE FORFEITED TO THE FAIR ASSOCIATION AND WILL BE STAMPED TO THIS EFFECT. SUPERINTENDENTS Superintendents shall have full charge of their department, being responsible to the Secretary and the Fair board. Each superintendent is expected to be on the grounds each day of the fair, to attend to the reception and arrangement of articles or animals to be exhibited in his or her division and to exercise great care in preserving and returning entry books, as soon as entry of awards are in them, and upon no other authority can warrants be drawn for premiums.

5 No classes may be written into the entry books. In order to receive premium money, entries must have been printed in the catalogue. DIVISION I JUNIOR ARTS Superintendents .. RULES: Entries will be received 6:00-8:00 Monday, July 16 - in the Exhibit Hall, OR 8:00-10:00 Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in the Exhibit Hall. These entries DO NOT have to be entered prior to this date ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME. All exhibits must have been completed since September 1, 2017. All Exhibitors are considered as being in the grade just completed. Limit of ONE ENTRY PER ENTRY NUMBER, such as 1 a, 1 b, and 1 c, with a limit of 6 entries overall.
