They have many useful videos and other publications that may be helpful with your Outreach Training classes. Washington Department of Labor and Industries This organization is in the State of Washington and has a website of downloadable video and other information for safety and health training. Oregon osha another state safety and health agency that provides many videos that are downloadable for training purposes. Many are also available on YouTube. NIOSH Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluations (FACE) - Each day, between 12 to 13 workers die as a result of a traumatic injury on the job. Investigations conducted through the FACE program allow the identification of factors that contribute to these fatal injuries. Chemical Safety Board (CSB) - The CSB conducts root cause investigations of chemical accidents at fixed industrial facilities.

3 Root causes are usually deficiencies in safety management systems, but can be any factor that would have prevented the accident if that factor had not occurred. Other accident causes often involve equipment failures, human errors, unforeseen chemical reactions or other hazards. Videos are available online or you may request CSB DVD compilations. November 2013 Trainer Resources Caterpillar Caterpillar is well known as a leader in safety for heavy construction equipment. They have been producing safety videos for a long time, in fact they were doing it when safety movies came on 16mm film. There are many videos on their site. Power Tool Institute (PTI) PTI has established itself as the preeminent organization for building global understanding of power tools and for maintaining high standards of safety in the industry. This organization has developed quite a few safety videos on this subject. Electrical Safety Foundation The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is dedicated exclusively to promoting electrical safety in the home, school, and workplace.

4 ESFI engages in public education campaigns throughout the year to prevent electrical fires, injuries, and fatalities. NIOSH Videos - NIOSH produces videos that are available for streaming, download, or you can order DVD s. The Electronic Library of construction Safety and Health (ELCOSH) - ELCOSH is a site that s maintained by the Center for construction Research and Training. There is quite a bit of information available including hazard information, PowerPoints and videos. January 2014 Trainer Resources YouTube Downloader This program offers users the ability to download YouTube videos and save them as MP4 files. For PC s and Mac s. There is also a premium version with enhanced functionality. RealPlayer Another downloader for videos. This one also offers users the option to trim parts of a video from the complete product. Rockford Systems Machine Guarding videos There are ten videos on this site that show several different kinds of machine guarding options for production machinery. There are useful for training or for the safety professional who may be looking for a way to provide effective protection for machine operators. They are also available on YouTube. NIOSH Ergonomic Guidelines for Manual Material Handling This is a booklet published by NIOSH and Cal/ osha that offers assistance in improving the handling of materials by employees. It includes assessment tools, analysis methods and improvement options. Cal/ osha Pocket Guide for the construction Industry Published on the Cal/ osha website, this guide details the requirements under Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. The guide is intended to be used as a reference for workers, employers, supervisors, job stewards, safety personnel and others.
